Life of a Professional Caregiver
Everyday seems to meld with the previous in my line of work. Providing round the clock service to the mentally challenged community will burn a person out. A job that requires precise patience while making decisions that affect a variety of lives. I look back on today and try to envision what I could have done differently to make the process run more smoothly, only to that no one person can predict the possible courses the day will wander upon. It just seems like a broken record, repeating the same things day in and day out. However, the smiles upon the faces of members of the mentally challenged community are what makes this profession worthwhile. It is the little moments in life that make it worth living day to day.
